With help from several clubs and athletes, Dorman raised more than $3,500 in donations, $1,800 in gift cards, and snacks for the Bi-Lo Children’s Charity Cancer Center. This organization has a special connection to the bass fishing team. Assistant coach and Dorman teacher, Jason McLesky, has a son who is currently battling cancer.
Before the Thanksgiving holidays, many schools in District Six held food drives to collect canned goods and non-perishable items. Items were donated to the D6 Food Pantry to help directly impact students and their families in District Six.
